Aberdeen Women’s manager Scott Booth sat down with RedTV to reflect on a busy start to the year. The Dons have made a number of signings who have made a positive impact and the side have recorded a number of impressive victories under the guidance of Scott and his backroom staff since his appointment in October last year.

“We have some personnel who have changed the dynamic a little bit and I think that has helped the players who are here and who have been here to elevate their game as well. The whole point of it is to keep developing the squad, developing the team and making sure that we stand a chance in every game to compete.
“When we play against the teams around us, that is the most important thing. How well can you compete against those teams because the brutality of is we want to stay in this league, that is first and foremost so we have to perform in front of the teams around us.
“A positive end to the season looks like more wins, more understanding between the players and the squad because it is a fairly new squad again and as many points as possible to see if we can finish on a really positive note this season so it can give us a platform to build again for next season.”
There is no game for Aberdeen Women this weekend due to an international break. Scott’s side return to action next Sunday (March 2nd) when Spartans travel to the Balmoral Stadium. Kick-off is 1pm.
