Aberdeen Women lost 6-0 at the hands of Hearts at Oriam on Sunday afternoon.

3-0 up at half-time, Eva Olid’s side added another three in the second 45 to ensure it was a comfortable afternoon in Edinburgh for the title challengers.

Scott Booth brought in new signings Brodie Greenwood and Naomi McLaughlin into his XI for the trip to Edinburgh, Aimee Black and Eva Thomson dropping out.

Also introduced was Mya Christie who made her 50th Dons appearance at Oriam, the ineligible Emma Ilijoski in the stand for the trip to her parent club.

The Dons looked like they had survived the opening 20 minutes only to be undone by another set piece.

After an impressive stop from Katie Cox to deny Slattery from distance, a Hearts corner found its way to Timms who was lurking at the back post and able to head into the back of the net.

The hosts had dominated the early stages without creating any amount of chances of substance up until the No.9s effort.

One became two on 26’, Bridget Galloway caught the wrong side of Slattery who was bundled to the ground by the Aberdeen midfielder. Up stepped Timms to convert from 12 yards.

The hosts had what looked like strong appeals for a penalty turned away not long after, a tangle involving Maddie Finnie and Johns raised questions, the home appeals turned away.

Slattery wrapped up a top individual first half performance with a goal of her own, beating Cox from the edge of the box after a tidy Hearts attacking move.

That was more or less that for a half that was dominated by the hosts from start to finish.

Half-time Hearts 3-0 Aberdeen.

A triple change for the Dons at the break: Black, Thomson and Kerry Beattie introduced, McLaughlin, Greenwood and Darcie Miller off.

Timms looked to have her hat-trick less than a minute into the half, her effort beating Cox but wide of the goal.

The Dons actually looked to be competing better after the half-time changes, albeit without being able to threaten at the top end of the pitch.

Their good second half work was tainted after Johns found the net for the hosts just after the hour mark, after a good initial stop from Cox the forward was able to bundle over at the second attempt.

Christie’s race was run with 20 minutes to go, Jess Broadrick on in her place.

Timms really should have had her third when she raced onto the end of Wade’s cross, the forward firing wildly over from close range.

Things went from bad to worse for The Dons with a quickfire double from substitute Jardine and a second from Slattery making it six.

Full-time. Hearts 6-0 Aberdeen
