The Worth The W-eight Scottish Cup Trophy Tour has now concluded after an extensive journey across Aberdeen City, the North East, the Highlands & Islands and beyond, sharing the club’s historic 2025 Scottish Cup success directly with Dons supporters.

Delivered in partnership with Aberdeen FC Community Trust, the tour was designed to make the trophy as accessible as possible, giving people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to see it up close within their schools, workplaces and community settings.

Interest in hosting the trophy exceeded all expectations, with more than 500 organisations registering to take part across the different phases of the tour.

Across the full programme, the trophy visited 371 events and connected with almost 60,000 people, including schools, hospitals, community groups, businesses, supporter events and local venues throughout the region, as well as prominent supporters’ groups across the country.

Originally scheduled to conclude in January ahead of our Fourth Round tie with Raith Rovers, the tour was extended due to poor weather at the turn of the year, resulting in a number of visits being postponed and rescheduled ahead of the Fifth Round tie with Motherwell at Pittodrie.

In the past week alone, the trophy has visited Glasgow, Angus and Elgin, following trips to Inverness and Edinburgh earlier in January.

What began as a postcode-by-postcode tour of Aberdeen City expanded into a multi-phase programme, with dedicated visits across the Highlands & Islands and Aberdeenshire, alongside additional ad-hoc stops, including a trip to London. From the heart of our city to remote locations, from workplaces to classrooms, and from care settings to supporters’ clubs, the tour ensured the celebration was shared as widely as possible.

A core objective of the Worth The W-eight programme is improving access and inclusion, and the Trophy Tour reflected that commitment, bringing the club’s achievement directly to people who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to experience the Scottish Cup in person.

The Club and Aberdeen FC Community Trust would like to place on record a sincere thank you to all staff and volunteers who supported delivery of the tour, along with the many host schools, organisations and community partners who welcomed the trophy.

Special thanks also go to the presenting partners who supported each phase of the tour and made its scale and reach possible:
