Connecting Classrooms to the Pitch: International School Aberdeen becomes Official Partner of the Dons

International School Aberdeen

Aberdeen FC is delighted to announce a unique new collaboration with International School Aberdeen (ISA), as they become an official partner of the Dons.

The new partnership will see ISA proudly sponsor AberDNA Junior, the free Under 12 membership initiative, reflecting the school’s commitment to contributing to the local community and supporting the next generation of football fans in the North-east.

Beyond the pitch, ISA students will be offered exclusive opportunities, particularly those in ISA sports teams, with workshops and insights from professional staff behind the scenes at Pittodrie.

ISA offers a globally recognised IB education that is accessible to both local Scottish families and international residents and although international at heart, is ‘in Aberdeen and for Aberdeen’.

Commenting on the exciting new affiliation with Aberdeen FC, Nick Little, Head of School, said:

"We are thrilled to officially partner with Aberdeen FC, an organisation that sits at the very heart of our city’s identity. Partnering with the Club, and particularly sponsoring AberDNA Junior, is a fantastic way for us to give back to the local community that we are so proud to be a part of.

This partnership is a natural fit. Our experience in supporting international families through the transition to life in Scotland will be a vital asset to the club as they bring in global talent. Furthermore, the opportunity for our students - local and international - to learn from professional staff at Pittodrie is a game-changer. This is about more than just sport; it’s about two local institutions working together to provide world-class opportunities for the people of Aberdeen."

With a desire to foster greater community links at the heart of this new relationship, ISA will also actively explore opportunities to work with Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) to support local outreach and educational initiatives.

“Establishing this link with ISA is an exciting step for the Club”, said Gary Herbert, Aberdeen FC Business Development Manager.

“As a hugely respected pillar of the community, ISA share many of the same values and with a global outlook they match our future ambitions.

“Our hope is to bridge the gap between world-class education and professional sports and we’re eager to see the positive impact this can have, not only on our young AberDNA Junior members but also the wider community.

“We look forward to working together with our colleagues at ISA on many of the innovative projects we have planned.”
