New signing Ryan Christie met with the media at lunchtime:

“For me there was a massive appeal to come to Aberdeen. As soon as I found out about the interest I wanted to get things over the line. Yesterday was very hectic and I did not get up the road until late last night. I trained this morning straight away which helped me settle in. I am now looking forward to the challenge ahead.

“I had a chat with Brendan about it and we came to the conclusion that it would be very good for me to go out on loan and Aberdeen is the perfect place.

“One of the reasons I thought Aberdeen would be a great club to come was the fact I knew some of the boys. It is not a hard-changing room to go into. The fact I also know how some of the boy’s play will also help me out.

“Aberdeen have got a very high level of players. I saw that in training today. It is a very talented squad I am coming in to.

“The manager has spoken about what targets he has in the league and also the cup as well. My job is to help the squad out as much as I can, so we can reach those targets. Personally, hopefully I get the game time I am after and I make an impression.”
