“A couple of weeks ago now I got a phone call off the manager letting me know of his interest and that he wanted to bring me to the club. Straight away it was something of interest to me. We kept speaking over the next week, 10 days and we have now agreed a deal.
“Obviously I have not come here to sit on the bench. I want to play but Jamie will have something to say about that. He has been the number one for a long time and is a very able keeper. I think he played every game last season and as I say he is a very good keeper so I am under no illusion, I don’t feel as though I am going to walk straight into the team. All I can do is do my best in training and if I get an opportunity it is up to me to take it.
“I know a few of the lads in the squad – Willo Flood and Mark Reynolds. I spoke to both of them and they both spoke very highly of the manager and the club. Everyone I have spoken to about the club has spoken very highly of it. I am delighted to be here.
“I had spell in the SPL with Dundee United. In fact my last game for United was against Aberdeen. I remember quite vividly that I got pelted by snowballs!! Hopefully I will get a better welcome now! It was all good banter though. I had a laugh about it then.
“I have had a little taster of the SPL and life in Scotland and I really enjoyed it last time. That made the decision to come back a lot easier. Hopefully I will enjoy my time at Aberdeen and I can be part of a successful team.
“The six month deal suits everybody. I am not really looking beyond that. Hopefully I can play some games but the most important thing is the team get some good results.”
