Stephen Robinson: Falkirk Reaction

Speaking after the defeat to Falkirk, Stephen Robinson did not hide from his side’s shortcomings in the game.

“Not good enough, we got what we deserved. We had four great chances from inside the penalty spot. We have to score those, all four of them are very easy chances. We don't do that, they take the one real chance that they have and that's why you don't win football matches. Collectively we have to be better than that.

“With injuries, we've not been able to put a consistent side out, we've not been able to put a consistent system out, then people are up and down with form, so that makes that even more difficult and we’re chopping and changing the team. We've not had the form we want, and we've got what we deserved tonight.

“When emotions are raw, I think it's best just to get away and have a look at everything non-emotionally and then make decisions from there and try and correct what was wrong. You can't do that when you're extremely emotional, because we're all really disappointed with the level of performance and the result.

“It's important we come in tomorrow morning with a clear head, talking sense and not shouting and screaming and saying things you regret. I'm as emotional as anybody in terms of the disappointment. There's a big game on Saturday, so there’s no time to dwell on it. We have to respond to that, the players have to look in the mirror, the staff have to look in the mirror, and we have to perform much better than that.”
