The Dons return to William Hill Premiership action on Tuesday evening with Stephen Robinson's side making the trip to Fir Park to face Motherwell.

Kick-off is at 7:45pm, with the postponed fixture from August now taking place under the lights in North Lanarkshire.

Opposition Watch

Motherwell head into Tuesday's meeting sitting fifth in the Premiership, having taken eight points from their opening five matches.

The Steelmen began the campaign with a 2-1 win at Hibernian before being held to a goalless draw by Falkirk at Fir Park. A 3-3 draw away to St Mirren followed, before Alfred Johansson's ran out as 3-0 winners over Dundee United.

Their most recent outing saw them beaten 1-0 by Rangers at Ibrox, Ryan Naderi's early goal proving enough for the hosts.

The Dons will need to be wary of Alex Lowry, who has made an impressive start to life at Fir Park. The midfielder, on loan from Wycombe Wanderers, was voted Motherwell's August Player of the Month after contributing three assists during the month.

Fir Park Form

Fir Park has been a difficult venue for Aberdeen in recent meetings.

The Steelmen have won each of the last three Premiership meetings between the sides at home with all three victories coming without conceding.

Three points on Tuesday night would earn us our 61st victory at Fir Park, equalising the number of wins they hold.

“When you work so hard from Monday to Friday and you don't bring it on the pitch on Saturday, then we're not happy with this either. I'm happy that we bring it all today. But now the game is gone, next game is on Tuesday, so we have to prepare very well, recover very well and go on.

“We have to take the self-confidence out of the 60 minutes when we fight with 10 men, because we had the big, big chances in the extra time. If we do this with 10, then we can do it with 11 for sure.”

First half goals from Jamie McGrath and Nicky Devlin sent The Dons on their way, McGrath netting again on 68' before Lopes struck late on to make it 4-0.
