AFCCT's Dementia Friendly 'Get Outdoors group have had a busy week this week…
On Monday we were delighted to find out that AFCCT's Dementia Friendly Wellbeing Programme was named in the top 4 of the European Club Association (ECA) Best Community and Social Responsibility Programme Award.
Tuesday saw a group of 20 particpants enjoy a walk in the glorious sunshine and finished with refreshments from The Foundry.
Thursdays group were not so lucky with the weather, but 12 participants braved the torrential rain to visit some of Aberdeen's most famous statues as part of the Active Reminiscence Sessions, followed by refreshments from Ma Cameron's.
Next week the Get Outdoors groups can look forward to a walk along the old railway line at Duthie Park on Tuesday and 10 pin bowling at Codonas Amusement Park on Thursday.
The AFCCT team will also be attending a Dementia Friendly Walk Leader Course to help continue making all programmes Dementia Friendly.
We would like to thank the Foundry and Ma Cameron’s for their hospitality and continuous support.
