We are delighted to announce that our match with Motherwell at Pittodrie on Saturday 11th March has been designated as our first ever AFC Community Trust Day!

Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) was established as the official partner charity of AFC in March 2014, “To provide support and opportunity to change lives for the better” throughout the North East. Over the past three years the scale of the work being carried out throughout our City & Shire has continued to grow with over 10,000 participants now engaged in over 60 programmes and initiatives.

To celebrate the ongoing success of our partner charity we are encouraging all AFC, and indeed AFCCT supporters, to turn out for this match in support of The Dons with a bumper attendance at Pittodrie!

Ally Prockter, Aberdeen FC Community Trust’s Chief Executive, said, “The past few years have been incredible in terms of the growth of the charity and having this platform will only serve to help with that. As AFC’s partner charity we work closely with the Club and ultimately we are all supporters so it would be great to see a large crowd in to raise our own profile and give the management team and players a lift. Hopefully it’s a success and we can make this an annual event!”

On the day AFCCT will enjoy an increased profile throughout the stadium with various events and activities taking place to spread the community spirit and feel-good factor generated by our partner charity throughout Pittodrie. Further details will be announced in the build-up to the match.

For the match supporters will be able to take advantage of reduced ticket pricing with a discount of up to 50% available from Monday 6th February! The pricing will only be in place for a short period of time with the largest discounts available to those who commit to buying their ticket at the earliest stage.

Derek Matthews, AFC’s Customer Services Manager commented, “It’s something we are excited about, we have a different pricing model in place for this one to try and generate as big a crowd as possible. We enjoy great support, particularly away from home but hopefully this is something that the wider community can get behind. We are expecting a good response… particularly in Phase One!”
