Kelle Roos was a spectator for much of the game against St Johnstone as the Dons couldn’t find a way through the St Johnstone defence in the 0-0 draw.

“It was a very frustrating afternoon. We didn’t give a lot away, but we left it too late to hit our standard. But we kept a clean sheet, we looked solid, we didn’t look like we would concede, so a lot of credit goes to the defence.

“Everybody knows that we are very, very dangerous when we play over the over the top of them, so obviously, teams have started to drop deeper and deeper. It’s harder to get the ball behind their backline and have space to run in. We need to then pass in front of them and move from side to side quicker. I think today we were just a little bit too slow, too passive maybe at times and we couldn’t really break them down as many times as we wanted to.

“Saying that, on another day we would have scored two or three goals. We’ve got great offensive players, great creators in our team. We know we’re going to score a lot of goals, let’s make that very clear. But today, I think we left it too late to really give them a platform.”
