AFCCT is the independent partner charity of Aberdeen Football Club and, together with the ‘hook’ of football, utilises the Club’s high profile, brand and connections to enhance the delivery of the trust’s charitable objectives to benefit local communities and positively influence others.
We have a vacancy for an experienced Health & Wellbeing Team Lead. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage our health & wellbeing staff and volunteers and hold overall responsibility for a growing portfolio of programmes, with particular focus on family support, dementia support and upstream preventative health activity. You will use local health evidence and community insight to shape delivery, build strong external partnerships and make sure we can clearly show the reach and impact of our work. Just as importantly, you will understand where AFCCT adds value and where specialist partners should lead.
Applicants should have significant professional experience in health improvement, public health, community health and wellbeing, social care or a closely related field, alongside a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification. You will need proven people management experience, a strong understanding of health inequalities and prevention, and the credibility to work with partners including local authorities, Health and Social Care Partnerships, NHS/public health colleagues, charities and the SPFL Trust.
You should be equally comfortable discussing population health data with partners and spending time in a community session listening to participants.

This is a permanent full-time role working 35 hours per week, with flexibility on working hours required due to the nature of the role, with some evening/weekend work required at times. (This role will be a mix of office time and offsite delivery.)
