“We have been in this position so many times before.

“Last season we lost a lot of late goals. I was hoping it was something we would eradicate this season but at 2-0 Dundee keep going and dig deep, they cause us problems and keep getting in our faces. We don’t see the importance of matching that.

“We had done well for 60 minutes. We were aggressive, we competed really well and got our rewards with two goals but then the same old problems surface for us and we again drop points late on.

“It also takes away from some incredible play in that first hour. The front four were really exciting (Wright, Ross, McLennan, Anderson) with Bruce coming into the side and getting two goals. He took his goals well.

“That was pleasing but there has to be more emphasis on keeping the ball out of the net.

“As I say some of our forward play was incredible but it does not always win you games, as was shown tonight.

“We keep trying to learn lessons but this is one we are not getting right. I will go away and have a think about it and then we will work hard on the training pitch with the group to try and solve the problem.

“Callum Morris did great.

“He has had to wait awhile to play his first game due to the couple of niggles he has had. And then he has had to wait for our first game as he could not play in the Irn Bru Cup ties. He has worked really hard and can now start to build up his match sharpness so he can then be involved with the first team squad.”
