Potential UEFA restriction with match

Due to recent UEFA Europa League results, our pre-season friendly match against Malahide on 18th July could be forced behind closed doors.

UEFA restrictions state that no friendly matches can be played in the same City as a Europa League qualifying match and following results in the first legs of the Europa League first qualifying rounds, which took place last week, there is the distinct possibility a Europa League tie will take place in Dublin on 18th July.

The second legs of this qualifying round are due to be played this Thursday 11th July, thereafter the Club will be in a better picture to ascertain whether or not this match will need to take place behind closed doors.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause supporters who had planned to take in this match during our weeklong tour of Dublin. We will do our utmost to ensure we communicate accurate information regarding this tie as soon as we have clarification from UEFA.
