Almost forty local businesses have now signed-up to the club’s recently launched By Official Appointment (BOA) initiative with six brand new additions in the last week!
Ardene House Veterinary Practice, Artemisia Floral Art, Handl, Café Rock, Dignity Funeral and Greenwell Equipment have become the latest organisations to join BOA which brings together local businesses and loyal Dons supporters under one common banner.
Through BOA, participating businesses are able to create incentives and special offers which the Club will market to its extensive fan base. Since launch in November 2018 AFC fans have already begun to enjoy discounts and exclusive services offered by BOA Partners and that will continue throughout 2019 as more businesses sign-up to the exciting new programme.
In return BOA Partners receive a variety of benefits including branding, networking, use of the Club logo, preferential rates for advertising and complimentary matchday tickets depending on their membership category.
Partners pay an annual subscription fee to secure a Club licence entitling them to ‘By Official Appointment’ partnership status. Any business that doesn’t specifically have a consumer offering can join as ‘BOA Affiliates’ and also enjoy a range of benefits. The range of membership categories makes BOA accessible for all businesses regardless of their size!
AFC Commercial Manager Anna Mackenzie commented: “We have had a really positive response from Partners and supporters so far which is encouraging as we are just getting started.
“It has been great to get buy-in from businesses who have been long-standing supporters of the club but equally it has been nice to see some new faces getting involved for the first team or returning to support the club through BOA after a period of absence.”
“We are fortunate to have a fanbase which is envied by many other clubs and this gives an opportunity to give them something back through discounts and offers, but also return support to the local businesses that are getting behind the club.”
MSK Sports Therapy are just one of the businesses who have already started to see the benefits of being a BOA Partner, “We have nothing but positive feedback, we’ve had new patients who have booked in with us from seeing our presence on the club website, and being fans ourselves, we are delighted and proud to be part of the success of the initiative in its first year.
“It’s such great value for small businesses like ours to get involved with Aberdeen Football Club, have advertising in such a high-profile platform and have that link to fellow fans. We are really
looking forward to continued success and involvement with BOA and other partners over the coming year.”
