Midfielder Alfie Stewart has joined Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle on a season-long loan.
The highly rated youngster will spend next season at the Caledonian Stadium as he continues his development and gains further first-team experience in a highly competitive environment.
A product of the AFC Youth Academy, Alfie impressed with his attitude during pre-season and now returns to Inverness after a successful loan spell last season, where he made 48 appearances and scored eight goals.
“Alfie is a talented young player who has performed well in pre-season training but as part of his wider development plan it is vital he continues to gain exposure to regular first team football” said Dons boss Stephen Robinson.
“We believe this will be the right environment for Alfie to keep progressing. This time, he has the opportunity to show the impact he can make in what will be a challenging Championship campaign.
“As with Alfie Bavidge, who is also on loan at Inverness, we very much believe in his potential so we will monitor his progress closely and look forward to seeing him step up to the challenge this season.”
The 19-year-old, who is a lifelong Aberdeen supporter, joined the full-time ranks at Pittodrie in the summer of 2022 and captained the U18s to the Development League title and the SFA Youth Cup Final that season.
Everyone at Aberdeen FC wishes Alfie the very best during his time with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
