The Dons have this evening been drawn at home to Partick Thistle in the William Hill Scottish Cup Quarter Finals. The tie will take place on the weekend of 4th/5th March 2017- full details will be confirmed in due course.

The sides have already met 3 times this season with Aberdeen coming out on top in all of them. Their last cup meeting was also a win for The Dons- Andrew Considine netting the only goal of the game at Firhill in December 2013.

Derek McInnes commented, “We're obviously delighted that it's a home draw but it will be extremely tough. We've a good record against them this season but that will count for nothing in a one-off cup tie. Again it's top flight opposition but it's the quarter finals so is never going to be easy.

We've some tough league games before then and our focus is now all on the visit of Motherwell on Wednesday.”
