Andrew Considine
Andrew scored the winner the last time the sides met in the Scottish Cup. Also if he plays on Sunday Andy will move into 10th spot on his own in the all time AFC appearance list. Quite an achievement. RedTV | To watch his press conference in full please click here
“Tuesday night was very frustrating. We dominated a huge part of the game and that is backed up by the stats but we just could not find the back of the net. We need to take the positives out of it, it was a good performance but the result did hurt.
“Our confidence is still high despite the result on Tuesday.
“Sunday is the perfect stage to put things right.
“We have done very at Pittodrie this season. It has been a bit of a fortress for us but Partick Thistle are a very good team. I have been very impressed by them this season. They are a solid solid team. They are a physical side as well. So it is going to be tough.
“When we played them in the league recently at Pittodrie it was not till we made a couple of changes near the end that we were able to win the game. They made it very difficult for us. They will come up here to make life very difficult for us but I still feel we have enough in our dressing room to get the result we need.
“It has been a long time since the club has reached a Scottish Cup final and everyone in the squad would love to be part of that occasion. Speaking to Graeme Shinnie, he told me about how fantastic a day it was. The manager has always said he would love to have that day in the sun on the final day of the season. But our main focus is Sunday.
“It is a massive massive game.
“We have a good record against Thistle but that does not count for anything. It is a cup game, a one off. The game will be decided by which team turns up on the day, which team wants it more. I think it will be very close.”
