The Dons have been drawn at home to Stranraer or East Kilbride in the 4th Round of the William Hill Scottish Cup.

The tie is due to take place on the weekend of 21st/22nd January – full details will be confirmed in due course.

After the draw was made this evening AFC Media spoke to manager Derek McInnes to get his reaction:

“The first thing you look for is a home draw. We have had a lot of away ties over the last few years so it is good to be at home again. And being at home we always fancy ourselves.

“One of my best friends in football Brian Reid is the manager of Stranraer. Joe Nuttall is obviously there at the moment on loan. We gave him permission to play against East Kilbride but he won’t be playing against us if they get through that tie!

“It is a home tie and with the greatest of respect it is a tie we should be looking to win.”
