“It is always a tough game against Ross County but we are in a rich vein of form at the moment. It is good to be back playing at home. I am sure it will be a good game as well. Hopefully there will be a good crowd which will give the players a real boost.
“Confidence is high at the minute.
“We played Ross County very recently. It is always difficult against them because of the way they play.
“We want to keep getting three points and tick the games off as they come along.
“After the high of the Tuesday night against Motherwell it was always going to be a difficult game against Kilmarnock for a number of reasons. It showed the team spirit we have. We dug in and got two late goals from two players who were not even in the starting XI. It shows the spirit that there is throughout the whole squad. We needed a little spark and Jayden and Peter gave us that. I was really pleased for Peter. He is a really good lad. He has a great attitude and never lets his head go down. I am sure he will get some more opportunities.
“Everyone wants to excel, everyone wants to play but heads do not go down if you are not in the team. It is team game and it is a team you want to be part of. It is a club you want to play for. That is why players are signing new contracts. It is a very good club and you are very well looked after.
“For Ross County on Saturday I don’t think it is about revenge for them, it will just be about picking up points. They have been on a difficult run but that does not make our task any easier because they will be determined to put in a strong performance. It will be a tough task and we know how hard games against them have been in the past. We can’t just turn up expecting to win.
“If we set up correctly and go about the game the way we should do we know we have a chance of getting the result we want.
“I am not sure if this is the best run we have been on since I have been on. We have had a number of good runs. We went on a very good run at the start of last season. It is always nice to win games and to be part of a winning team. We have just got to keep it going and see where it takes us at the end of the season.
“There is no reason why we can’t stay in second spot and I am confident we will stay there but there are still 13 games to go and plenty of points still available. We have to take it game by game. At the end of the season if you finish in second or third place, it is normally a fair reflection of what has happened during the season.
“We have five home games coming up before the split and every team prefers playing at home so hopefully that will help us. It is a good chance to pick up some points. We have a good home record and teams know it is tough when they come here. But we take it game by game.”
