“It’s a good start.
“To come here is always tough and the fact they put us on the tight AstroTurf pitch made it more difficult. We could have played better and they all know that in there, but maybe the sign of a good team is when you’re not at your best and still scrape a win. It’s pleasing for us and from that point of view we can’t grumble too much. It’s great to get a clean sheet and it breeds good habits and may they continue.
“Although it was a bit heart and mouth at the end there, David Craddock does brilliant for us.
“It’s good concentration from David in the final minute as it’s a good header from the boy and he plucked it out from the top corner. He didn’t have a great deal to do and they passed the ball about, but in terms of shots on goal I think there was one in the first half where he spreads himself well and makes a good save. It’s pleasing to keep them nullified in terms of chances.
“As soon as the through ball is slid in your so confident Bruce is going to score, which was proven at the time. Even his second chance he does brilliantly to set himself up and the biggest surprise is he doesn’t hit the target. He’s such a threat at the minute and you can see the confidence in him. I think the gaffer mentioned it, you just feel like he’s going to score every time he goes on the pitch.
“Jordan McGregor (trialist) has just come back in. He was in a couple of weeks ago and trained for the week, but because we never had a game it was hard to make a judgement on him. We said we’d like to get him back and have a look at him in a game and we’ve managed to do that. He was steady and was part of a clean sheet, so he can be pleased with his work.
“Sam’s (Roscoe) been great and is improving regularly. We’ve asked him to be more demanding of people around him and speak more and that’s how is game is coming on. He just has to keep improving, but for the moment to get a clean sheet and 1-0 is such a pleasing scoreline when you’re under the cosh a wee bit without them creating too much. I’ve stood here I don’t know how many
“It’s three points and always a tough place to come so we’re pleased with that.”
