“Hibs are certainly on a fantastic run at the moment. They’ve had some decent results on the road and they’ll be confident after their performance against Celtic. They’ve got some good players there and I think they are probably where they expected to be at the start of the season and they’ll be looking to build on the decent run they are on but we’ve got make sure that’s not the case.

“We’ve almost got a clean bill of health amongst the squad. Obviously young Craig Murray and Josh are still doing their rehab but we’re certainly getting a few more back. Barry Robson and Chris Clark added to the boys that came back the week before so I’m really pleased with that.

“Any manager would just want their players all fit and available. What it does indicate now is that we’ve got real strength. The young ones who have come in of late have shown their worth so all of a sudden the squad looks pretty strong and I’m delighted with that.

“Barry has an ability to affect people and improve people around him and he’s got plenty of experience. We’ve got to be mindful though that we was out for 10 weeks so just to get him on the pitch last week was great but we’ve still got some work to do with him to get him up to speed.

“Ryan took a cramp in both his hamstrings last weekend, which is nothing more than fatigue. For me it’s over use of player who has been away on international duty, played a couple of games, he’s played every minute for me this season so I think it’s understandable he did take a little fatigue. We’re got to be mindful that we look after him but he is absolutely fine for Saturday. Willo had a bit of swelling after the game but he’s fully trained this week so fine for the match.

“I think if we can go and get a positive result on Saturday, which will be difficult but we are capable of it then I think it’s been a real solid start to the season and something to build on.”

“It’s going to be another very difficulty game on Saturday. They drew with Celtic last week which will give them plenty of confidence going in to this game. Their form recently has been very good so we know it will be a tough test.

“It was a very good win for us against Dundee United. We perhaps weren’t at our best but I thought we scored a good team goal and I thought we worked hard, we had an intensity to try and close the game out.

“It’s important we have as many fit players as we can so the manager to pick the best team that he sees fit. Obviously having the likes of Barry and Willo back gives him a lot more options for the games coming up. We’ve got three games next so it’s an important week for us and the more options the manager as the better.

“There is an awful lot of experience in our dressing room. Most people look at the young players we’ve got coming through and quite rightly think we have a young squad but we’ve got a good blend of experience to go with that and it can make a difference.

“We’ve done well in spells but I think there is still work to be done. In general we have to be satisfied with how the first quarter has gone. We know there are areas we can always improve on and we’ll be looking to do that as the season progresses.

“If we give the fans something to get excited about then it makes it even more enjoyable for them to go to these away games. We could never doubt their loyalty at away games. They turn out every second week to support us, especially when there hasn’t been much to sing about, they have still been there supporting us and I am sure it will be the same on Saturday and next Wednesday.”
