the Manager, Ryan and Barry on RedTV

“I think we’ve had two decent results on the road, two clean sheets and some decent goals so we’re looking forward to getting back home. We’ve got three games at home in December and it’s important we try and enforce that advantage of being at home. I think this year the players really look forward to playing at home. Hopefully we’ll have a decent crowd in to get behind the boys and hope to continue this run. We’re striving for consistency of results as well as performance.
“It was a tough match at St Johnstone last week but when we needed to produce quality we did it and that’s what we’ve got as a team. The biggest factor in winning the game last weekend and at Partick was our competitiveness, our aggression and our determination to come out on top.
“St Mirren have really got a head of steam up since we played them. They’ve certainly gained a bit of confidence, they’re probably about second or third in the form guide. I’ve watched them recently and both performances were assured so we’ve got to make sure we’re aware of that threat. We know we’re up against a team who are in good form, who have good spirit so we’ve got to make sure we’re at our best.
“It’s the first time Barry, Willo and Ryan have all been fit and available since the first game of the season. It’s great to have Willo back in about things. It’s great to have Barry stepping up his fitness and having an influence on the team and Ryan has been a real consistent performer for us this season. We’ve got options there, we’ve got options in other areas of the pitch so as a manager going in to the game with only one injury it’s a good situation to be in.”

“We know it’s going to be a difficult game. They are a decent footballing side so we are going to need to approach it well and be at our best to get the three points. It’s a good chance to build momentum and get another league victory and another three points which would be great. All the boys are looking forward to it and we’re just hoping we can get the points in the bag.
“I think it’s a great time of year, we’ve got a busy schedule with a few games coming up and I think the team will just take each game it comes and try to get three points in every game.
“It’s great for myself training with Barry and Willo day in, day out and learning a lot as I am still young so it’s been great in that aspect. In games Barry and Willo have been excellent in helping me along so hopefully we can continue to work together.”

“The fixture list has been a little bit odd this year, so it’s been a month since we were last at Pittodrie, but now we’re preparing for three games here inside a fortnight, and we know we need to make them count if we are going to take full advantage of a good win at St Johnstone last weekend.
“It was good to see Willo back involved on Saturday because we are going into a hectic spell in the coming weeks and we need everybody available for selection to give us the best possible chance of continuing with some good results.
“There is still such a lot to do here. We’re aware of the dangers that St Mirren will pose, because after a tough start to their season, they’ve been one of the form teams over the last month or two and they’re steadily climbing the table. If we keep doing the right things, putting in the work and sticking with our game plans, we give ourselves a real chance of another win but if we slip away from any of those standards, even fractionally, we all know what the consequences can be.”

“It’s not been the easiest time for me but it’s great to be back now and I’m looking forward to getting back playing in amongst the boys and getting going with things. It’s been frustrating but there’s a long way to go.
“The business end of the season is coming and it’s a big end of season. I think the boys have played terrifically well these last few months so it’s great to come into a side that’s playing well. We’ve got some great pace and ability in the team so it’s been a pleasure to be back playing.
“A Winning mentality is as good as ability and is as good as making great passes because, if you have that desire and that mentality to win a football match, you’ll go that extra mile.
“We’ll be prepared for what they [St Mirren] are going to come at us for. The manager will have watched them countless times. We’ll be preparing for what they’ve got in the locker and what they’re going to do and we will know what we have to do ourselves. We’ll be ready for the game.”
