Dons crash out of the cup in the capital
Hibernian 1 | Deegan 50′
Aberdeen 0 | (Vernon penalty saved 82′)
William Hill Scottish Cup 5th Round | Easter Road | Att: 11,877 | FT
Aberdeen crashed out of the Scottish Cup at the 5th round stage with Gary Deegan’s long range effort enough to clinch victory for Hibernian. The Dons had a chance to rescue a replay in the 82nd minute but for the second week in a row, Ben Williams saved the kick- this time from Scott Vernon. Prior to and after that, Williams made some tremendous saves to deny the visitors. It ends a miserable week for the Dons who now have to concentrate on securing a decent league finish.
