The RedMatchday team have been hard at work over the summer putting together a new look programme for season 2017/18.
Ahead of launching a new look magazine at the start of the domestic season, we are now putting the finishing touches to a special European programme.
So what’s new for 2017/18?
Artist Paine Proffitt has been given a chance to hang up his paint brushes for a season, but we offer him our grateful thanks for his fantastic work for us. Ahead of the new season, we are delighted to announce our own summer signing as Dolly Digital will be taking on the cover art responsibilities. We look forward to working with Dolly during the new campaign.
As always, we are looking to improve and we have revamped the programme during the close season as we look to keep our passionate and knowledgeable readers entertained over the course of another long campaign while offering the best value for money.
This season the magazine will be packed with even more exclusive and in depth interviews with the AFC players and staff. Every issue contains the thoughts of the Dons players including the manager and captain. As well as comprehensive coverage of the first team, we cover the U20s and have all the news from the AFC Youth Academy, providing a real insight into what goes on at the club.
There are also columns and features on AFC from past and present, with the programme team possessing an unrivalled library of photos.
The club's official matchday programme was again voted the best in Scotland in 2016/17, the 16th season in a row it has been named the top programme in Scotland's top division and this season, it will again be produced by our friends at CurtisSport.
REDMATCHDAY ISSUE 01
For the Dons’ Europa League tie next Thursday, which marks the start of our 50th year of playing in Europe, there will be a specially commissioned programme to mark the event. We have a number of one off features including a look at each Dons decade of European football. The RedMatchday Editor has also been in St Andrews this week getting exclusive access to the players and we have some top interviews planned for the next few issues. This 84 page programme costs £3.00 and is available to buy in the club shop and from the sellers around Pittodrie.
