Derek McInnes and new signing, Michael Hector
After the game Derek McInnes gave his reaction to the 2-0 victory over the Dutch visitors:
“They [FC Twente] are a top side. You can see the way they handle the ball. They are all good players. There was an air of frustration at half time- more from the players than myself. I was just frustrated that we weren’t talking enough to be organised. I thought our use of the ball at times was letting us down…
“…The goal helped us- it gives us something to hold on to and then Peter Pawlett scores a terrific goal as well. I was more pleased with the clean sheet and the fact we had a real discipline about us. I was pleased with a lot of individual performances but thankfully that’s the friendlies over.

New loan signing Michael Hector also spoke to the media after making his debut in the victory over FC Twente:
“It was a tough game but I enjoyed it.
“…As soon as I arrived the manager sat me down and said that he wants to build a young team and a team that is going to play football and enjoy the game and hopefully win more games than in the last few seasons.
“…When I first arrived and stepped onto the pitch you can feel the history and it’s good to be a part of that”
