Public consultations update

Aberdeen Football Club thanks everyone who yesterday attended the first in a series of public consultation events on its proposals to develop a community and sports campus, football academy, professional training facilities and stadium on land at Kingsford.

Several hundred people attended the first consultation exhibition at Kingswells on Tuesday to view the outline proposals and to provide feedback that will inform the planning process going forward, including the detailed planning application for the scheme.

George Yule, Executive Vice Chairman of the Club, said: “This process is about gathering the views of people with an interest in the project so that we can ensure it delivers the greatest benefits for the north-east of Scotland and that we address areas of concern. It was very encouraging to get such a large response at the first exhibition with a wide range of views being shared, some in support of the scheme and some opposed to it.”
