Aberdeen Women round off a busy week on Sunday when they travel to the capital to take on Hearts at The Oriam. The Dons head into the match off the back of a morale boosting 2-1 victory over Montrose on Wednesday evening. Midfielder Francesca Ogilvie spoke after the game on Wednesday as she looked ahead to our game with Hearts:

“The aim on Wednesday night was to get three points and it was also nice to get the winning goal. When we went 1-0 down we had to keep our heads up and we managed to do that by getting the late goal.

“Everyone wants to be in the top six and unfortunately the highest we can finish now is seventh. Our aim now is to stay top of the bottom half. As long as we keep working hard and try to take each game as it comes.

“We got beaten against Hearts last time. We know it is going to be a tough game, we know they are sitting above us in the league. We need to take the positivity from Wednesday’s game into Sunday. We know they have got quality, they are full-time but as long as we go down, keep our heads and work as hard as we can for each other then hopefully we can get a result.”
