Aberdeen Women start the final month of the season on Wednesday evening when they host Glasgow Women at the Balmoral Stadium. The Dons put in a good performance on Sunday against Motherwell but lost out by two goals to nil. Aberdeen head into the game sitting in ninth position in the Parks Motor Group SWPL1, on 24 points while Glasgow Women sit bottom of the table.

Kick-off is 8pm at the Balmoral Stadium. Ticket information can be found here. Please note that turnstiles will only open 30 minutes before kick-off.

Gav Levey gives his thoughts ahead of the game:

“We said after the game on Sunday that we can’t dwell too much on the defeat but we need a reaction. Regardless of the opposition on Wednesday, there has to be a reaction. We need to be so much better in the final third. We are expecting a top performance come Wednesday. They will be rallied up and they know what they have to give to put that right. The players have been challenged a few times this season and they have reacted in the right way every single time. I expect come Wednesday that we will see a real reaction out of this group.

“Glasgow have been scrapping against teams that have been a few places above them this season. They try and make it difficult with the way that they play. It is about us putting in a performance. When you come off of a disappointment like Sunday, it is about how you react and how you pick yourself up. We have been confident and in good spirits. It’s all about reacting and the performance that we can put in.

Bailley Collins also previewed the match:

“It is a tough game but we know what we have to do. We have to create the same amount of chances as we did on Sunday but we have to take them. Goals win games and we have to take our chances.

“It is always good to play football and the style we have been playing recently is the way that we want to play. Every team wants to get the ball down and play football. We are playing more football now which is more encouraging and especially for the fans who come and watch.”
