Match Preview: Aberdeen v Kilmarnock

Opposition Watch

Killie head North on Saturday hoping to pick up their first points of 2026-27, after four league defeats on the bounce have left them rooted to the foot of the division.

Prior to Wednesday's narrow 1-0 defeat by St Mirren, they have been on the receiving end of some sore ones, losing 1-5 against Celtic and 0-4 at the hands of Dundee United at Rugby Park. They have conceded 14 times in their opening four matches, netting just four of their own.

The Dons will need to be wary of Tyreece John-Jules, the former Arsenal man is back involved after missing the end of 2025-26 with a quad injury. The forward has two goals and one assist in his last two games against Aberdeen.

A strong run at home

We have emerged victorious in our last five games against Kilmarnock at Pittodrie.

Our last meeting came in April, Afeez Aremu's first minute strike proving decisive.

Kilmarnock were last able to return to Ayrshire with all three points in December 2023, David Watson winning it for the visitors in the 92nd minute.
