Ahead of Sunday’s match at Kilmarnock, Mark met with the media to discuss The Dons recent run of form and more
“Our performances have been getting better and better and we felt confident and we felt strong and we knew that if we put it all together and were as clinical with our chances as we were the other night that we could take that number of goals off a team. I thought we could have scored more in the final half hour. We were clinical and punished them for the errors they made. “We always talk about December & January being big months and it’s the time when the positions start to sort themselves out and you want to come through that strong and thankfully we’ve done that and we’ve gone on a great run and we want to continue it. “There’s been a lot of talk in the last couple of seasons with us being in Europe that we’re burning out by this stage and starting to feel it in the legs but this year we’ve had the break, we went to Dubai had a great camp and I think we’ve already seen the benefits of that. A lot of people thought that it would maybe take to the end of March/April before they would see us really kicking on and reaping the rewards of going away but we’ve pretty much seen it since we came back. We’ve looked fresh and have managed to run teams into the ground. “It’s great to be able to look back and see such a rich vein of form. We’ve always just taken it one game at a time and our focus is now on Sunday and just trying to continue the form and level of performance we’ve had. “We still feel as if there is more to come from us, we still feel as a team we can be even better. It’s exciting and good to be part of it as well”
