Adam previewed the Maribor second leg on RedTV:
“It is going to be a difficult game obviously, especially with them getting the away goal but I think if we play anything like we did last week we have a chance. We could have been three or four up at one stage in the first half. Unfortunately we did not take our chances but if we can put that type of performance in again I am confident we can get through the tie.
“It is hard to work out how they are going to play. Because of the away goal they don’t really need to come out, they can afford to sit in a bit more. But because they are the home side they may want to come out and try and dominate us to get the fans involved.
“For us we have to go there with a game plan and make sure we stick to it. The main thing obviously for us is to go there and get a goal.
“Last week we put a lot of great balls in the box. We created a number of good chances and to be fair their keeper made a number of good saves as well. We could create half the chances this time but we need to take one or two of them. Hopefully if we do that we can defend well enough as a team and get through the tie.
“I enjoy playing up front with Jayden. He is very good in the air – nine times out of ten he wins the ball which allows me to then gamble and make a run past him. We have a number of different options though. We have lads who can carry the ball and go past people, we have players who can put good crosses in. We have a lot of different options and that is important because we will have to use most of them tomorrow night.
“Our aim all along was to get to the group stages and we are still in a position where we could do that. The main focus is to put in a performance which gives us a chance to get through tomorrow night.
“I have been involved in a game at the stadium before. I never actually played, I was on the bench! But I do remember the atmosphere was brilliant. Their fans were excellent, nonstop for the whole 90 minutes. It is probably one of the best stadiums I have experienced for atmosphere.
“We know how difficult it will be but we have won a number of European away games in recent years where no one has given us a chance. So we are well capable of it. We just have to make sure we bring a performance tomorrow night that can do that.
“I don’t really look at the club European goal scoring record a lot. I got told last week that I was closing in on the top spots. It does give you something to aim for but it does not affect what I do on the pitch. Hopefully though I can add to my current tally of nine on Thursday night.”
