“It was not a great night weather wise but five goals at home, you can’t complain with that and hopefully the fans who braved the weather will have enjoyed it. The lads performed well. There is no getting away from the fact it has been a disappointing week so it was nice to start this week off on a positive note, and start our run of three home games with a win.
“Against Rangers we missed a few opportunities which cost us the game so it was important that we were more clinical in front of goal and we did that. We have been working on our finishing in training. “We started slowly but once the goals went in things started to click a bit. Things started to flow better and it was a good performance.
“My goal. Well I seen Graeme (Shinnie) lining it up on his right foot and I thought this is coming to me because he is useless on his right! I am only joking but it did come my way and I managed to get enough on it to guide the ball into the bottom corner. I was delighted.
“For the second I did not get enough on it. Kenny was saying afterwards that if I stabbed it a bit lower it would probably have gone in. The keeper made a very good save but thankfully Anthony is there to finish it off.
“Jonny’s then got the third. His pace is unbelievable. He also does not seem to get tired and can keep going at that pace throughout the 90 minutes. He got two god goals and I am pleased for him.
“Niall has been very busy the past two, three years with playing every week and then having his international duties. He has had a bit of a break the past few games and he looks very fresh.
“The manager spoke to me and said there were a lot of games coming up so I would get my opportunity. I have been thrown in tonight and hopefully I have done ok. It is a good squad here and all the boys are fight for places. When you get that opportunity to have to try and take it.”
