“It has been like that for a number of months. The consistency that we are showing now is excellent.

“We set the tempo and did not let Hearts settle. Our game plan was to play in the right areas. We got in about them and did not give them a minute.

“We are doing everything the manager is asking of us. We just need to keep that going till the end of the season. Our home form speaks for itself and the run of nine wins highlights how well we have been doing.

“To a man we were very good.

“Everyone in the whole squad has been excellent.

“But there is still a long way to go and a lot of football to be played between now and the end of the season. We can’t take our eye off the ball. We need to keep going. We will take it game by game as we have always done.

“The home winning run shows how well we have done this season. We have had some good runs in the past but this one shows just how good a team we have here.

“I did not know this was my 100th game. I just found out afterwards. It is a nice way to mark that milestone. It is all about the three points. It is a good result and that is what we set out to do. We knew it would be a tough game but it was a very good performance.

“Shay has a habit of popping up at the right times in the games like that. He has scored some important goals for us and he did it again today. The way we go forward, we are a very attacking team and our right back getting in the middle of the goal shows our attacking ambition.

“We have put ourselves in a good position but there is still a lot to do in the league and in the cup. We will enjoy our break, I think we need it with the amount of games we have had recently, so we will enjoy that and come back ready to go again.”
