“It was a good moment for me.

“And for Ryan coming off the bench. He did well.

“The team have been doing very well but sometimes you need to freshen things up and I think having someone up with Adam helped him. It was tough for him up to that point as there had not been a lot of service but the substitutions led to more gaps appearing and we asked more questions of them.

“It was a very pleasing day.

“It was a great delivery from Niall. It was really flat so it did not give the keeper a chance to come for it. I thought I was away to get smashed but I just concentrated on making good contact. The delivery made it, I could not really miss from there.

“I was happy to score and happy to assist for Ryan as well.

“For the second one I did half think about shooting but I was getting wider and wider so it would have been hard to score and needed a very good strike. So I thought I would put it on a plate for Ryan. Hopefully he will return the favour sometime soon!

“It is always good when you join a new club and get off the mark straight away. He is a good lad and has been quality in training. He has gelled quickly.

“It was a very pleasing victory.

“The lads have brilliant recently. The game the other day against Celtic I thought they played well but it took a lot out of them. It took a lot out of the legs and there was not much recovery time. You could see that in the second half. We could not bring that intensity to our play that we normal have although the boys were trying hard. That is why you need a squad and it is a squad game. You need people who can come off the bench and change the game.

“It was nice to get some time on the pitch. I am still desperate to succeed here and to be an asset for this club.”
