One of the positives from Saturday’s game was the performance of Hayden Coulson.
However, it was a very disappointed Dons dressing room he emerged from after conceding a late equaliser when the left back spoke to RedTV:
“Everyone was gutted in the dressing room, to concede with literally the last kick of the game is hard to take. Duk scored a great goal for us and there were only three or four minutes left after that, so it’s frustrating not to have managed to get the game over the line. It felt like a defeat in the dressing room afterwards but on the flip side, it is still an away point on the board.
“We’ve conceded from corners and long throws a few times now, so obviously it’s something we need to rectify. In those moments, everybody is around the box to do a job, it’s not just the back four, but unfortunately, that one fell County’s way.
“The first 45 minutes, the play was literally all in their half really but we need to punish the opposition when the game is like that. If we’d got the couple of goals that we should have had from our possession, the game’s nearly over. But credit to County, they’re a resilient side, they work ridiculously hard and they don’t know when they’re beaten.”
Hayden had to come off with injury late in the game, but there’s nothing serious to report.
“I’ve had a few knocks in the last few weeks, so I just came off as a precaution really. I’ll be good to go against Rangers next week. I think we’ve got a chance of getting a result in that one with the way we’re playing.”
