Hannah Stewart shared her thoughts following a disappointing afternoon at Ainslie Park that saw the Dons lost out 3-1 at the hands of The Spartans.
“All over the pitch we weren’t up to it. Spartans came and pressed us, they didn’t give us much time and when you leave it until there is nine minutes left to give it a go, you aren’t going to get anything out of the game. It is one to forget.”
“I think everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. We concede three goals and Maddie has gotten injured. We know in ourselves that it is poor, and it needs to be better. We have a cup game coming up, so it is a great chance to move on from today, and fight for your place in the team. The subs today have done well so that gives everyone food for thought for Gartcairn, and hopefully we can go and get a positive result.”
“We need to be more positive on the ball. It is frantic, people are panicking and yes, the pressure is on because Spartans are a team that are in and around us, but we need to take the things we did well last week into these games. We need to be calm on the ball, when we have it we need to keep it, we need to get forward, it is frantic. We need to look at what went wrong and fix it for next week.”
“Maddie is away to get checked. It doesn’t look great, but hopefully it isn’t as bad as we think, and she will be back soon. We want her to be okay, and we want her back as soon as she can be.”
“Gartcairn is a chance for players who haven’t been getting the game time they think they deserve a chance to show what they can do, and it gives people the scope to go and fight for their place in the team, which is needed after todays performance.”
