Graeme Shinnie | Hamilton Post Match

“Disappointing, frustrating. “It was not good enough. “We knew how Hamilton were going to play. We did not hit the heights that we have in recent weeks and we were not good enough from the start. We were not good enough on the day. Even then we still created a good few chances. “I don’t think we played to the standards that we have reached recently. That is very frustrating. But as I say we still had some chances at the end to take something from the game. “The result has certainly brought us back down to earth with a bang. We have been on a good run but that counts for nothing.

“The result has certainly brought us back down to earth with a bang. We have been on a good run but that counts for nothing. We feel that we should be coming down here and getting the three points. Hamilton, credit to them they played well on the night but it was very frustrating for us.

“I have not seen the penalty incidents back yet. During the game I did not have a great view of the penalty they got but it did look harsh to me. I can’t really say more than that because I have not seen anything back yet.

“You want to win every game, you want to do well in every game. At this stage of the season you want to put points on the board to keep the pressure up and we have not done that tonight. Whenever you have a setback like this then it is very frustrating but it is gone now. There is nothing we can do and we needing to focus on Saturday’s game. It is a big game and we need to be ready for it. It is a good game for us to bounce back.

“That is football. You always need to forget about your last game, win or lose, and move on to the next one. We have been very frustrated tonight, we will watch the game back and pick bits out but we can’t do anything about it now. We need to focus on doing well on Saturday. We need to up our performance.

“It will be a very difficult game but we beat them twice so we can take massive confidence from that. As long as we play well on the day then we have a chance.

“We won six games in a row and we have been playing well so this result is a blip. A very frustrating blip as we should be coming down here and doing better.

“We move on and look forward to Saturday.”
