Aberdeen FC Community Trust is delighted to announce the Football Fans in Training (FFIT) programme will be delivered at Harlaw Park in partnership with Garioch Sports Centre and Inverurie Loco’s, funded by the NHS.
The initiative helps supporters feel better and live a healthier lifestyle by losing weight. FFIT is a health and wellbeing programme, where like-mind individuals attending the programme learn about healthy eating, portion control and increasing physical activity with a view to losing weight and becoming fitter.
David Smith, Senior Community Projects Officer with AFCCT said, “This is the first Football Fans in Training programme we are running out with Aberdeen and are delighted to be working alongside a Highland League team as well as NHS Grampian. FFIT has been an incredible success so far, I’m excited to see how well everyone gets on at Harlaw Park and would encourage anyone looking to get fit to go along and give it a go.”
The 13 week programme is free and will run at Harlaw Park in Inverurie from the 16th August to the 8th November for men aged 35-65.
