“Against Dundee it is usually an open game and a good game of football.
“We have had some good results at Dens in the past which gives you confidence going down there. It is a game that we can go and win if we play to the best of our ability. It would be nice to get back to winning ways.
“I think after the start we made to last season the expectation levels were very high that we could do the same. It has been a sticky start, we know that but it is still early in the season, we will come good I have no doubt about that.
“It does take time for new players to gel. James just came in before the window. We all know the quality we have in the dressing room this season and we all know there is competition for places. It will drive us all on and I believe it will help us get results.
“It is a good headache for the manager to have. I believe going forward, because of the competition for places, and with the ability we have got, whoever is picked to play in each game and whatever team is selected by the manager will get results.
“On paper Dundee have lost two key players, Hemmings and Stewart, two of their best players last year and two of their biggest threats but you can’t look too much into that. Other players at Dundee will see that as an opportunity. I think other players will be looking to step up to the plate. Also the Dundee manager has recruited well in the past and he has done so again this season. We have had a look at Dundee and we know what they are going to be like. We know we will have to perform well to get anything from the game.
“Everyone in the dressing room is aware it is a massive week and it will take a squad performance. I am sure there will be changes throughout the three games. We are not though looking beyond the Dundee game. We know how difficult that fixture is going to be and we know how big the three points are. Hopefully come Sunday afternoon we are sitting with the win and can then look forward to the St Johnstone game.”
