On day 2 of their winter training camp in Dubai, The Dons had an early training session this morning as they continue preparations for the remainder of the season. There was a distinct look of Aberdeen this morning when the players were greeted by fog but this soon cleared before training got under way.
Following another intense session this morning, a number of first team squad members, the management team & staff then took part in the AFC Commercial Golf Day at the stunning Arabian Ranches golf resort. Playing alongside members of the significant ex-pat community here in the United Arab Emirates, including former Dons captain Derek Whyte, there was some excellent skill on the course including a hole in one from AFC Football Operations Manager, Steven Gunn on the par 4 15th hole!
The round was completed in glorious conditions before the golfers & guests enjoyed a BBQ and Question & Answer session with Derek McInnes, Tony Docherty & Barry Robson. The event was played in the Texas scramble format and a low score of 57 from a team including Andrew Considine took the title!
