Dons Hayes appeal rejected

Aberdeen’s appeal against the red card administered to Jonny Hayes by referee Craig Thomson in Saturday’s Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership victory over Celtic last Saturday was rejected by the SFA’s disciplinary panel at today’s Hampden hearing. The winger now faces an automatic two game ban and will miss this weekend’s league clash with Hearts at Tynecastle and Wednesday’s League Cup tie against Hibs at Easter Road.
