The Craig Brown Memorial Trophy 2026 Tournament descends on Cormack Park this weekend, with the fourth edition of the competition in line to be the most exciting yet.
Saturday featured plenty of action with a host of elite academies battling it out, The Dons keen to retain their title after last year’s success.
Craig Brown was one of the most respected figures in Scottish football, enjoying an outstanding managerial career that included spells with both the Scottish National Team and The Dons.
Renowned for his commitment to player development and his passion for nurturing young talent, Craig's impact on the game continues to be felt throughout Scottish football.

Group A featured Aberdeen, Preston North End, Motherwell, Larne, Celtic, and Manchester United, while Group B was made up of Dundee, Swansea City, Rangers, Dyce BC, Shamrock Rovers, and Stabaek IF of Norway.
In Group A it was the English giants Man United who stole the show, winning all four of their games, scoring six, conceding just the one from Aberdeen’s Rory Phillips. Preston emerge from day one in second thanks to wins over Celtic and Larne.
The Dons go into Sunday morning’s game against fourth placed Celtic in third after beating Preston North End and drawing with Larne and Motherwell. Motherwell sit in fifth, one point ahead of bottom side Larne.
Shamrock Rovers top Group B with nine points, beating Swansea City, Stabaek IF, and Dundee, with defeat coming at the hands of Rangers, who claim second spot for now, beating Shamrock Rovers and Swansea City.
Dundee and Stabaek IF make up the middle of the pack in that group on six and five points respectively.
Immense credit has to be given to Dyce BC who end the day level on points with their Norwegian counterparts but behind on goal difference.
The local side impressively held Rangers to a 1-1 draw after going 1-0 up, before beating Swansea City. It has been a difficult day for the Welsh outfit; they look resigned to the foot of the table on zero points.
Michael Ihmig of Rangers leads the way for goals scored so far, he has six to his name.

Today’s action sets up an interesting conclusion tomorrow, with final group stage games kicking off from 9am before the semi-finals get underway at 12:20pm ahead of the 1:50pm final.
