Aberdeen FC Community Trust receive funding from the ‘Life Changes Trust’ to run a variety of 'Dementia Friendly Communities' initiatives engaging with over 75 people living with dementia on a weekly basis. These activities range from Technogym, Walking Football, Health Walks and various reminiscence based sessions.

AFCCT Community Projects Officer Dean McBain commented. “It's a very exciting new idea and as far as we know has never been done at a Scottish football club before. We run a variety of 'Dementia Friendly' programmes across the North-East and hopefully this can add value to an already great service. We would also like to thank AFC and the Club Shop for supporting our Dementia Friendly initiatives, its great to have so many staff members trained as 'Dementia Friends'.
