Danny extends stay at Dumbarton

Daniel Harvie has this afternoon extended his development loan deal at Dumbarton until the end of the season. The 18-year-old has been playing for the Championship since the start of the season and has so far made 19 appearances for The Sons. The left side defender from Drumchapel, who signed a new deal with the Dons last season until May 2018, has done well playing in Stephen Aitken's side. Danny has been in the AFC system from 10 years of age and the left back is one of the last graduates from the Glasgow Centre.

Danny has been in the AFC system from 10 years of age and the left back is one of the last graduates from the Glasgow Centre. The 18-year-old was part of the Scotland squad which won the Sky Sports Victory Shield in 2014 and has since went on to be called up to the U19 national side.

He then made his Dons U20 debut in a victory against Celtic in October 2015 before helping them go on and win the SPFL Development League in 2015/16. Daniel was included in numerous first team squads last season and made his deserved first team debut against Partick Thistle in February 2016.

Danny is very highly thought of at Pittodrie and we wish him well for the rest of the campaign.
