Consultation Events Update

Aberdeen Football Club would like to thank everyone who has attended the public consultation events that have been held so far as part of proposals to develop a community and sports campus, football academy, professional training facilities and stadium on land at Kingsford.

Several hundred people attended the first consultation exhibition at Kingswells last Tuesday with a larger number attending the event last Friday in Westhill to view the outline proposals and to provide feedback that will inform the planning process going forward, including the detailed planning application for the scheme.

Speaking after the initial consultation event, George Yule, Executive Vice Chairman of the Club, said: “This process is about gathering the views of people with an interest in the project so that we can ensure it delivers the greatest benefits for the north-east of Scotland and that we address areas of concern. It was very encouraging to get such a large response at the first exhibition with a wide range of views being shared, some in support of the scheme and some opposed to it.”

Supporters who have not yet had a chance to attend an event can come along to Pittodrie on Tuesday 2nd August from 1-8pm.
