ARNASON RETURNS FOR SECOND PITTODRIE STINT Aberdeen FC are delighted to confirm the return of Kári Árnason back to Pittodrie after the 34-year-old put pen to paper on a one year deal. Kari was originally with the Dons during season 2011-2012 when he became a hugely popular figure with the Red Army. After moving on Kari enjoyed promotion with English side Rotherham United before moving to Sweden to play for Malmö FF and then onto Cypriot side AC Omonia Nicosia. On the international stage Kari helped Iceland to qualify for their first ever major finals last summer.

ARNASON RETURNS FOR SECOND PITTODRIE STINT

Aberdeen FC are delighted to confirm the return of Kári Árnason back to Pittodrie after the 34-year-old put pen to paper on a one year deal.

Kari was originally with the Dons during season 2011-2012 when he became a hugely popular figure with the Red Army.

After moving on Kari enjoyed promotion with English side Rotherham United before moving to Sweden to play for Malmö FF and then onto Cypriot side AC Omonia Nicosia.

On the international stage Kari helped Iceland to qualify for their first ever major finals last summer. At Euro 2016 he was outstanding form, helping his country to a draw with the eventual winners Portugal and a famous victory over England. Still a regular for his country, Kari hopes to feature in next summer’s World Cup Finals. Iceland currently sit second to Croatia on goal difference in Group I.

Kari has been allocated squad number 14.
