AFC in the Community visit four local schools

On Monday morning, the AFC in the Community team visited four local primary schools: Seaton, Riverbank, Walker Road & Tullos to give away strips and pairs of complimentary tickets for the Aberdeen v Kilmarnock match on Saturday 27th April, KO 3pm.

Alongside Angus the Bull, our coaches treated the children to some coaching and fun activities during their morning assemblies. The kids participated in a penalty shootout against Angus the Bull in order to win Aberdeen strips followed by a Harlem Shake challenge which won each Primary 1 child a pair of tickets to Saturday’s game. 4 lucky youngsters from each school have also be given the opportunity to make their Pittodrie debut at half-time during the Kilmarnock match on Saturday.

The pupils from Riverbank PS in their own way said thank you by drawing pictures of themselves in their new strips, and sending into Angus the Bull and the AFC Community Team for visiting their School.

Steven Sweeney, Senior Scottish FA Community Coach at AFC said “We would like to thank the pupils and staff from Riverbank Primary School for their drawings, cards, and for letting us visit them on Monday. We hope they enjoyed our visit, making their “Aberdeen Shake” music video for our YouTube channel was great fun! We look forward to welcoming them to Pittodrie in their new strips on Saturday for the match.”
