Women’s team defender Abi Tobin took the time to preview Sunday’s trip to Motherwell and to reflect on a busy start to life in Aberdeen.
“It’s been good. Sunday was a hard game, but it was a very good experience for me.
“I think I competed well. It was a bit strange playing a lot of familiar faces, a lot of people that I know very well.
“I didn’t expect to play as much as I have. I’ll take every opportunity I get, and it’s all about getting the experience and progressing.
“It’s good to know that I’m valued highly, and it’s obviously given me an opportunity to show what I can do, and I’m just really enjoying my football to be honest.
“I think I’ve been quite consistent. I want to keep pushing to be better. Scott’s been good with me, he is Somebody I can really trust – I’ve got a lot of respect for him.
“He is someone I want to impress, every time that I’m training or when it’s matchday.
“I’m looking forward to Sunday. It is one we need to be winning. These are the games we have to win, there’s no room to slip up.
“I’m getting used to the long trips. I sleep, well, I try to sleep! But it’s good, the girls keep me entertained, and there’s always something to do so it’s not too bad. They are such a good group of girls.
“I think we’ve shown that we can compete and that we can challenge the top teams, so I think it’s more now about going on and get some wins, getting points on the board. It’s maybe been a bit up and down, so it’s about getting that consistency.”
