“I am feel fit and raring to go so hopefully I can make the squad on Saturday.

“We have to go into the game with confidence. We have been on a good run despite the result in midweek. We can also take confidence from the fact we beat them twice last season.

“We will try our best on Saturday to replicate that.

“I also feel we played well in spells down there earlier in the season. We were pushing hard for an equaliser and had chances before we conceded late on.

“People are saying that (if we don’t will then the title race is over). There is still a long way to go in the season. Everyone saw last year what happened, there were a lot of twists and turns. So we have just got to stay positive and focus on ourselves. All we can do is concentrate on Saturday.

“We have a tight-knit squad and we know what needs to be done on these occasions. Hopefully we can get the job done.

“You know there is a gulf in finances and you know the quality of players they can bring in.

“I feel they have added a lot more quality to their squad this year. They have shown that on previous occasions this season already. You can see what type of threat they have but on our day as well we pose a threat.

“There was a little blip in midweek, it was not like us especially the run of form we were on. This is a great game for us to try and bounce back.

“Tuesday was a reminded what can happen if you have an off day. You need to be at it every week. You also saw it with some of the results last night. Any team can beat anyone on their day. You need to stay fully focussed. You can’t have too many off days. It is a bit of plus some of the teams round about us never won but it makes it more frustrating we did not take something from the Hamilton game and Celtic also increased their advantage. We just need to focus on ourselves and try and get on a winning run again.

“You want to play against the best teams in the league. You want test yourself against the best players. Celtic have many players in form at the moment.

“He (Dembélé) is a player on form who is scoring goals. You have always got to be wary of players who are full of confidence, especially strikers. They feel like they can score at any given moment. So you have to be really switched on when playing against these types of players.

“You must concentrate really hard in these games. It is not just their strikers, Celtic have a lot of players who can cause you problems. One lapse in concentration and you will get punished.

“The crowd have a massive part to play. Last season when we played Celtic and went down to ten men, they got right behind us and made a huge difference. They helped us win that game. It is very important they do the same on Saturday.”
